VGSMUN’26 marks the third edition of the VidyaGyan Sitapur Model United Nations, continuing a journey that began in 2024 with a vision to create a rigorous, engaging and intellectually stimulating platform for young minds to deliberate on the questions that shape our world.

Hosted at VidyaGyan School, Sitapur, VGSMUN brings together aspiring diplomats, policymakers, parliamentarians, journalists and changemakers for two days of debate, diplomacy and deliberation.

With the experience of our first two editions behind us, VGSMUN’26 seeks to raise the bar further — through challenging agendas, dynamic committees, immersive simulations and an environment that encourages delegates to move beyond prepared speeches and genuinely engage with opposing perspectives.

At VGSMUN, diplomacy is not merely about speaking. It is about listening, negotiating, strategising and finding common ground. Delegates will be challenged to analyse complex situations, defend their positions, collaborate with others and formulate solutions to pressing national and international issues.

From conventional United Nations committees to specialised parliamentary and crisis simulations, VGSMUN’26 offers delegates the opportunity to experience diplomacy in its many forms. Every committee is designed to test not only knowledge and oratory, but also critical thinking, spontaneity, negotiation and leadership.

The conference is built around three fundamental ideas:

Discuss — Engage with diverse perspectives and understand the complexities behind global and national issues.

Debate — Challenge assumptions, defend your position and engage in meaningful, substantive discourse.

Determine — Move beyond discussion to negotiate, decide and shape outcomes.

VGSMUN’26 is more than a competition for awards. It is a space where young individuals are encouraged to question, reason, collaborate and lead. We believe that the strongest delegates are not necessarily those who speak the most, but those who can think critically, adapt swiftly and contribute meaningfully to the room.
