Conference Theme: "The Rise of Economic Nationalism in a Shifting Liberal International Order”

The resurgence of economic nationalism is reshaping global trade, investment, development, and international cooperation. As states increasingly place economic security and national interests at the forefront, the principles and institutions of the liberal international order face mounting pressure. In this changing landscape, diplomacy must adapt, negotiate, and find common ground amid competing national priorities.

BUPIMUN 2026 invites you to engage with the questions shaping this transformation. How can nations reconcile economic sovereignty with international cooperation? What happens when national interests conflict with global responsibilities? Can diplomacy bridge an increasingly fragmented international system?

Over three days, delegates from across Bangladesh and beyond will come together for an immersive experience where ideas will be challenged, perspectives will converge, and diplomacy will come alive.
