Civitas MUN is an online Model United Nations conference designed to bring together passionate delegates from around the globe to discuss, debate, and address pressing international issues. Rooted in the principles of unity, discovery, and diplomacy, the conference provides an immersive platform for students to step into the shoes of global leaders and diplomats. Participants hone critical skills in public speaking, negotiation, and strategic problem-solving while collaborating on actionable resolutions for complex global challenges. Scheduled for December 26–27, 2026, Civitas MUN offers an accessible, high-impact virtual environment that fosters international dialogue and empowers the next generation of global changemakers.
The Committees Include:
- United Nations Security Council (UNSC): Focuses on addressing high-stakes threats to international peace and security, handling global crises, and formulating strategic diplomatic interventions.
- United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC): Examines issues surrounding transnational organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, corruption, and global law enforcement cooperation.
- Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC): Tackles global security challenges, non-proliferation of weapons, arms control, and measures to maintain international stability.
- INTERPOL: Coordinates cross-border police cooperation and intelligence sharing to combat global terrorism, cybercrime, and fugitive tracking.
- Crisis Committee (Sokovia Accords): Offers a fast-paced, dynamic simulation where delegates navigate the complex geopolitical and ethical fallout of regulating superhuman activity and global oversight.
