CWMUN Rome 2027

Change the World Model UN Rome was created to offer students an international educational experience in one of the world’s most culturally, historically and institutionally significant cities.

Founded in 2012, the conference brought the educational model developed by Associazione Diplomatici to the Italian capital, preserving the same academic quality, international outlook and institutional value that characterise the Change the World Model UN conferences organised around the world.

Rome represents a unique setting for a Model United Nations conference. Its extraordinary historical and artistic heritage allows participants to combine an intensive educational programme with the discovery of a city that has played a central role in shaping European culture, international relations and political thought. At the same time, its multicultural character and vibrant diplomatic community make Rome a natural meeting point for students from different countries, cultures and backgrounds. Over the years, CWMUN Rome has welcomed more than 10.000 students from more than 90 different nations, making it one of the most international educational experiences available in Italy.

The city also has a particularly strong connection with the United Nations system. Rome is home to the United Nations food and agriculture hub and hosts some of the organisation’s most important international institutions, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The FAO Headquarters has hosted the opening ceremonies of previous editions of our projects, offering students the opportunity to begin their experience inside one of the world’s leading international institutions. Through debates, negotiations and committee sessions, participants will address the major political, social, environmental and economic challenges on the international agenda, assuming the role of ambassadors and experiencing firsthand the mechanisms of diplomacy and multilateral cooperation.

Change the World Model UN Rome is therefore much more than a conference. It is an opportunity to develop public-speaking, negotiation and leadership skills, build an international network and experience the Model UN methodology in the heart of the Italian capital. 

The opening ceremony is expected to take place at a major institutional venue, with the FAO Headquarters as our preferred location, while the committee sessions will be hosted at Cinema Moderno in Piazza della Repubblica, or at LUISS University in the heart of Rome.
