Negotiate, Advocate, Elevate
Welcome to the first edition of DCMUN — a dynamic, student-led Model United Nations conference committed to fostering meaningful dialogue, diplomacy, and global awareness.
Centered around the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), DCMUN offers delegates an engaging platform to debate pressing international concerns, represent nations, negotiate solutions, and sharpen essential skills in public speaking, critical thinking, diplomacy, and collaboration.
This year’s agenda, “Evaluating Regional Human Rights Frameworks in the Global South,” invites participants to critically analyze the effectiveness of regional human rights mechanisms, explore contemporary challenges, and propose impactful solutions through constructive debate.
As a free and fully online conference, DCMUN aims to make quality MUN experiences more accessible while maintaining an intellectually stimulating and professional committee environment. Guided by an All-American MUN Certified Chair, delegates can expect meaningful discourse, thoughtful deliberation, and an opportunity to broaden their global perspectives.
Whether you are a first-time delegate stepping into committee or an experienced MUNner seeking thoughtful debate, DCMUN promises an enriching experience where every voice contributes to shaping the conversation.
