DMUN Model African Union 2025 

  • What is DMUN Model African Union 2025?
    DMUN Model African Union 2025 is a regional diplomacy simulation hosted by the DMUN Foundation, offering participants an immersive experience in the policymaking, conflict resolution, and integration efforts of the African Union. Delegates will explore the Union’s institutional processes while engaging in meaningful dialogue on continental challenges and opportunities for sustainable development.
  • Dates:
    December 6–7, 2025
  • Format:
    Fully Online and Free of Charge, making it accessible to students and youth globally, particularly across the African continent.
  • What is Being Simulated?
    Participants will represent AU Member States and engage in sessions across four core organs and committees of the African Union:
    • Specialised Technical Committee on Migration, Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (STC-MRIDPs)
      • Focuses on addressing issues related to migration governance, refugee protection, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and humanitarian coordination across Africa.
    • Executive Council
      • Composed of Ministers from each Member State, this body discusses and implements policies in coordination with the Assembly.
      • Delegates engage in policy deliberations on economic, social, and legal affairs.
    • Peace and Security Council (PSC)
      • The AU’s standing decision-making body for the prevention, management, and resolution of conflicts.
      • Simulates discussions on peacekeeping, early warning mechanisms, and regional security.
    • Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC)
      • Composed of ambassadors accredited to the AU, this body prepares the work of the Executive Council and manages administrative and budgetary matters.
      • Delegates simulate diplomatic negotiations on institutional governance and AU operations.
