University Students and School Students

Global Initiative for Young Leaders

World's Largest Youth Empowerment Initiative

Inspired by the 2012 Rio+20 Resolution, “The Future We Want,” FWWMUN is one of the largest initiatives worldwide focused on empowering youth. Committed to fostering a united international community and a sustainable future, FWWMUN emphasizes key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to youth and education. With core values of inclusivity and diversity, FWWMUN provides equal participation opportunities for young leaders from all backgrounds.

The conference features workshops led by experts and diplomats on topics like youth involvement and leadership. Delegates will have the chance to engage at a high level with specialists on committee topics. FWWMUN stands as the largest and most diverse MUN, hosting events at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and across five continents.

If you seek an engaging experience that will challenge and enhance the skills of delegates at every level, FWWMUN is the right conference for you. We provide participants with exposure to pressing global issues and access to top-quality preparation materials.

FWWMUN Roles

  • Delegates
Delegates actively participate in all conference events and committee sessions. During meetings, they represent the country assigned to them in their designated committee. Delegates engage in debates, negotiate with other countries, and collaborate on drafting and voting on resolutions that address the committee’s agenda topics.
  • Observers
Observers attend the conference to learn more about the world of FWWMUN without the responsibility of representing a country in a committee. This role is ideal for individuals who are new to Model United Nations and want to gain insight into the procedures and debates of a conference. Observers do not participate in committee discussions or contribute to the drafting of resolutions but can attend sessions and events to observe and learn from active participants.
  • Faculty Advisors
Faculty Advisors are educators or educational staff members (teachers, professors, etc.) accompanying a group of students. They serve as the point of contact between the delegation and the conference organizers. They are responsible for overseeing their students during the event and ensuring that they follow conference guidelines. While Faculty Advisors may attend conference events like workshops and ceremonies, they must not interfere in the proceedings of the committees. They are only allowed to enter committee rooms with permission from the Secretariat and must remain in the background as quiet observers to avoid disrupting the delegate’s work.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Delegates
To register as a Delegate, participants must be between 14 and 28 years old at the time of the conference. No prior MUN experience is required for this role, making this conference accessible to both new and experienced students from high schools and universities.
  • Observers
To register as an Observer, participants must be between 14 and 28 years old at the time of the conference.
  • Faculty Advisors
Faculty Advisors must be at least 21 years old at the time of the conference and can only register as part of a delegation. Faculty Advisors may only register at a ration of 1 Faculty Advisor per 5 delegates in a delegation.

Individual vs. Delegation Registration

  • Individual Registration
Students who are taking part to the conference as single individuals (not part of a school, university, or MUN club), can register independently.
  • Delegation Registration
Groups from schools, universities, or MUN clubs must register as a delegation. A delegation must include at least 5 delegates, and for delegations with minors, at least 1 faculty advisor is required. There is no upper limit on the number of delegates in a group.
Please note that delegations must pay a one-time delegation fee in addition to the individual registration fees for each member.
For delegations from schools or universities located in the host country, we offer a special registration option. These local delegations are exempt from paying the delegation fee, and faculty advisors can participate free of charge. If your group qualifies for this option, please contact us at registrations@fwwmun.org to receive detailed instructions on how to proceed with the registration process.

Visa Invitation Letters

Visa invitation letters are issued only after the registration process is fully completed. Participants will receive instructions via email on how to request their letter. Our organization provides two types of visa invitation letters:

  • Individual Letters: for participants who registered individually, we issue a personalized letter confirming their registration.
  • Delegation Letters: for delegations, we provide a single letter that includes the details of each member of the group, confirming their registration.
We advise delegations to request a group appointment at their embassy or consulate. Once they receive their appointment date, they may communicate this along with the embassy’s or consulate’s email address to us. This will allow us to provide further support by forwarding their delegation invitation letter.

Please note that the visa invitation letters issued by our organization are intended to support the visa application by providing official confirmation of your registration in the conference. However, the decision to grant or deny a visa is entirely at the discretion of the embassy or consulate. Participants must independently schedule their visa appointments and follow the procedures set by the embassy or consulate. We recommend that all registered participants secure their appointments in a timely manner. In any case, they must have scheduled an appointment date at least one month prior to the conference.

Deferral Policy

In the event of an inability to attend the conference, the fee paid will remain valid for a period of 24 months, allowing applicants to register for any other FWWMUN conference. For delegations, it will also be possible to request a change of participants in addition to the conference deferral.

Please note that in order to be eligible for a deferral, you must complete the final registration form, which will be sent by email five weeks before the conference. Failure to submit this form by the deadline will result in the cancellation of your application and the inability to request a deferral.

Important Notes

  • Review carefully the eligibility criteria for each role and ensure that you meet them before registering.
  • Failure to meet the eligibility criteria will result in the cancellation of the application without the possibility of requesting a deferral or a refund.
  • Only registered participants (Delegates, Observers, and Faculty Advisors) are permitted to attend the conference events. External individuals, such as parents, relatives, friends, or partners who are not registered, will not be allowed to participate in any conference activities or enter event venues, nor can book accommodation through us or request invitation letters.
