    About the committee

The committee you are assigned to is multidisciplinary. Delegates will be called upon to consider several broad transnational issues affecting the world today. In our committee sessions, delegates will discuss strategies and develop new ideas to solve the main causes of global economic challenges and maintain lasting stability, prosperity, and integration in the world. This committee will focus on two topics: (A)combating illicit financial flows and preparing for and (2)responding to future pandemics. Delegates will deliberate countermeasures to address significant national economic losses and global financial challenges arising from corruption, tax evasion, and money laundering in illicit financial flows. We will also discuss the world's ability to withstand a future pandemic and what preparation and response could be employed to alleviate the impact.

    About the committee

Welcome to one of the most extraordinary crises in history, where history itself collides with prehistory. A sudden, inexplicable event tears figures from across time and deposits them in an unfamiliar and hostile world: The Jurassic Age. Towering ferns, humid air, and the echoing roars of creatures long extinct surround you. The comforts of your civilization are gone, replaced with an unforgiving land where survival is the only priority. The origins of this catastrophe remain unknown. A temporal rift? A failed experiment? The reason matters less than the reality you now face. With no modern tools, armies, or power beyond your resourcefulness, you must navigate a world ruled by nature's most formidable predators. Food is scarce, shelter is a necessity, and alliances may be the key to making it through the night. Now critical choices must be made. Do you work with one another to find a way back to your separate timelines, combining knowledge to uncover the mystery of your arrival? Or do you abandon the past and forge a new future in this ancient world? Factions begin to emerge, ideologies clash, and survival becomes a test of both intellect and instinct. In the jungle's depths, unseen threats lurk, waiting for the moment to strike. As delegates in this crisis, you determine the course of events. Will you build, conquer, or escape? The past is behind you. The future is uncertain. Your decisions shape what comes next. Good luck, and don't forget to watch your back; you never know what lurks behind you. About the committee

In the heart of Oslo, Norway, a high-profile peace summit is underway between global leaders, including representatives from the United States, Norway, China, Russia, South Korea, China, the EU, the UN, the UAE, and Brazil. However, just hours before the summit is scheduled to begin, a group of armed militants takes several diplomats and foreign leaders hostage at the Norwegian National Opera House, where the summit is being held. The hostage-takers, a mysterious group calling themselves The New Dawn, claim to have a radical agenda: they seek global change and revolution against what they see as a corrupt world order. As the crisis unfolds, the situation grows increasingly tense. The hostages’ lives hang in the balance, but the demands are impossible to meet. The international community is divided, and the authorities struggle to determine how far they’re willing to go to negotiate with the hostage-takers. The world is watching, and the clock is ticking.
