Guardian Youth Model United Nations 2027

Guardian Youth Model United Nations (GYMUN) is a youth-led Model United Nations initiative of Guardian of Childhood, created to make child-rights literacy, civic engagement, youth participation, and international dialogue accessible through an educational MUN experience.

The 2027 conference will feature a specialized United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) committee, where delegates will represent different countries and examine contemporary challenges affecting children and young people. Through research, diplomatic debate, negotiation, and resolution writing, participants will explore the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and develop practical policy solutions.

Unlike a conventional MUN focused primarily on competition, Guardian Youth MUN places learning at the heart of the experience. Delegates will be encouraged to listen to different perspectives, engage respectfully, think critically, and understand how children's rights connect with education, safety, equality, participation, and development.

The conference follows Guardian MUN’s core philosophy:

Learn. Represent. Debate. Advocate.

Participants will leave the conference with a stronger understanding of children's rights, international cooperation, diplomacy, policy-making, and meaningful youth participation.

Guardian Youth MUN is entirely an educational simulation of the United Nations and its related processes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to UNICEF, the United Nations, or any other UN agency.
