Miláo MUN 2026 — Conference Description

Miláo MUN 2026 is a two-day online Model United Nations conference taking place on 17–18 October 2026, bringing together students and young delegates with a shared interest in international affairs, diplomacy, public speaking, leadership, policy and debate.

Miláo is designed to go beyond conventional conference-room debate. Delegates are placed in realistic committee environments where they are expected to research deeply, represent their assigned portfolios, defend positions, challenge opposing arguments, negotiate with other delegates, build alliances and work towards practical solutions.

With committees including UNGA, FIFA and Lok Sabha, Miláo offers participants different styles of debate and simulation, ranging from international diplomacy to specialized discussion and parliamentary proceedings. Each committee is designed to challenge delegates not only to speak, but to think strategically, adapt under pressure and collaborate effectively.

The conference aims to create a competitive yet inclusive environment where first-time delegates can learn the fundamentals of MUN while experienced participants can test and refine their skills. Success at Miláo is not simply about speaking the most. Strong delegates are those who demonstrate preparation, substance, diplomacy, negotiation, leadership, collaboration and the ability to contribute meaningfully to their committee.

Throughout the conference, delegates will have opportunities to participate in formal debate, moderated and unmoderated discussions, negotiations, drafting and collaborative problem-solving, depending on the committee format. The Executive Board will guide proceedings, maintain academic standards and ensure that committees remain engaging, structured and substantive.

Beyond awards and certificates, Miláo seeks to give students something more valuable: the confidence to speak, the ability to listen, the discipline to research, and the experience of working with people who may not share the same perspective.
