MSKMUN 2027

The 9th MSK Model United Nations International Student Conference (MSKMUN) will take place from 1–4 April 2027 at the 1st Middle School of Kifisia, Athens, Greece, under the theme “From Ignorance to Action: Navigating Diplomatic Engagement without Bias.”

MSKMUN is a four-day international simulation of the United Nations and other international political bodies for secondary school students. Delegates represent assigned countries, research international issues, deliver speeches, negotiate with other delegations, draft and amend resolutions, and participate in formal debate.

The 2027 conference explores how knowledge, misinformation, bias and impartiality influence diplomatic decision-making, encouraging students to move from informed deliberation to responsible action. Inspired partly by John Rawls’ concept of the “veil of ignorance,” the theme challenges delegates to examine international issues beyond national and personal biases.

The conference is multilingual, with committees conducted in English, French and Greek, and welcomes delegates of different levels of experience through Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced committees. Its diverse agenda includes General Assembly committees, the Security Council, ECOSOC, WHO, UNESCO, the Environmental Committee, the League of Arab States, as well as Historical Crisis, Fictional and Special Conference committees.

Beyond academic debate, MSKMUN aims to develop students’ critical thinking, diplomacy, research, public speaking, negotiation, collaboration and responsible global citizenship.

Participation Fee

The participation fee for MSKMUN 2027 is €35 per participant. The fee covers all conference-related expenses, including afternoon snacks throughout the conference, Saturday lunch, and admission to the Saturday evening party.
