Crafting Global Leaders
The institutions built to govern the world were not built for the world we are entering. As artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and autonomous systems rewrite the boundaries of power faster than treaties can be drafted, the question is no longer whether global governance will change, it is who gets a seat at the table when it does.
The BAIUST Global Affairs Council proudly presents BAIUST Model United Nations 2026 (BAIUSTMUN 2026), the flagship Model United Nations conference of BAIUST, arriving as the Council marks nine years of institutional excellence across Bangladesh's national MUN circuit. Set across the BAIUST campus in Cumilla, BAIUSTMUN 2026 brings together three days of committee debate, crisis simulation, and diplomatic exchange from 7–9 November 2026.
Under the theme "Reimagining Multilateralism: Governing Emerging Technologies and Global Public Goods for Intergenerational Equity," this year's conference confronts one of the defining governance gaps of our time. The UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI's landmark report, Governing AI for Humanity, found that 118 countries remain entirely excluded from major international AI governance initiatives. BAIUSTMUN 2026 asks delegates to sit with that fracture, and to negotiate, across ten committees, what an equitable digital and technological future actually requires. The theme aligns directly with the Pact for the Future, Chapter III on Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Cooperation, and its Annex II Declaration on Future Generations.
BAIUSTMUN 2026 is where research meets rhetoric, and rhetoric is made to answer for itself. Whether you are stepping into your first committee session or returning as a seasoned delegate, this is a floor built for those who come prepared to be tested.

Nine years of institutional record. Three days. Eight committees. One question every delegation will have to answer: who governs what comes next?
