CRIMUN 2026: Leadership as a model of personal growth towards global sustainability 馃寧
Costa Rica International Model United Nations has been offering an academically enriching space for students, educators, and graduates to interact with each other, fostering a culture of collaborative problem-solving through diplomacy and conflict resolution.
Originally founded by two teachers who wanted to bring the Model UN experience from elite private schools to all Costarricans so that they could benefit from the unparalleled advantages it provides as a tool of personal development in communication and multifactor problem analysis.
We are an association of educational institutions, teachers, graduates, and former students that strives to empower future young leaders with the skills and abilities to solve our most pressing global challenges through debate and discussion in an academically enriching setting.
The secretariat is primarily composed of outstanding high school and university-level students that plan and execute the conference program. The Supervisors are teachers and former Secretary Generals who ensure the academic standards for the event, as well as the Outreach fundraising and training programs.
By focusing on gradual consensus-building of solutions, we can emphasize the importance of tangible incremental change and depart from noisy and grandiose speeches that do nothing to solve systemic issues. A core tenant of our identity is to share this space with students from all backgrounds through our Outreach scholarship program and delegate preparation workshops for new students.
