UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in Model UN
The UN Environment Programme, founded in 1972 and based in Nairobi, is the UN's leading global authority on the environment. It hosts the UN Environment Assembly, where all 193 UN member states meet every two years. In Model UN a UNEP committee seats country delegations, as the Environment Assembly does.
